14A – Halfway Reflection

Image
Tenaciousness is a competency The requirements for this class can seem to be a little overwhelming at times, but that is because it is an online class and is supposed to have the same fullness of an in class lecture. So to keep up with the class assignments I set reminders ins my calendar to make sure that I do the blogg posts on time with enough time to do a thorough job on them. Tenaciousness is also about attitude When I feel like giving up I usually have to set my mind on the goal I have in mind and the consequences of not finishing that goal. Over the last two months my tenacity has definitely increased. I think that having 17 credits this semester and four of those classes being online has helped flex that muscle. I have to stay on top of my assignments and make sure that I get them done well and on time. Three tips Stay focused on your goal. The end result should be what drives you towards completing the task Think about what would happen if you do not c...

13A – Reading Reflection No. 1

Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance What surprised you most? Elon musk tried to launch a computer game in the 80’s and it took 167 lines of code. I thought that he was just some rich guy. Turns out, he is incredibly intelligent and has a photographic memory. This helped him memorize books and eventually get into the University of Pennsylvania. What did you admire most? I admire Elon Musk’s ability to be this large and influential businessman but still be himself. He still has his nerdy quarks and openly exhibits them. Beyond the book I follow Musk on twitter and he does not filter himself. He posts some of the weirdest things but it shows that the fame has not got to him. What did you admire least? I think the thing i admire the least about Musk is his social awkwardness which comes from his very intuitive and thinking nature. He is prone to not listen and set his mind and actions on going his way or the highway. This shows that he is confident, but he might be too conf...

You:  I am Mitchell Shedd. My Business experience start in 10th grade when me a couple friends started a mini company that sold cupcakes in small clay pots, it was a hit on campus. I have worked with technology my whole life and understand how companies function with and without a reliance on tech. I ave worked for a City Government and a State run Facility and during that made numerous connection with Directors and supervisors of large government agencies, and within that I have also witnessed fraudulent use of finances and know how hard it is to solve to solve that problem. My financial security company would be a part of my life and many others as it would not only protect your company but mine as well. What are you offering to customers:  I know that your company at one point will have an issue with financial security and that is why I want to help. My company will give you a software that tracks the out flow and in flow of your money and if anything happens my 24/7 call...

12A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

Pick a segment: Government and State employees that are oversee a segment or all of a company. Need awareness: After interviewing three different Government/State supervisors it became very clear that the need for a financial security system came when dealing with employees that were new and had criminal records, or when employees were given responsibility over any amount of finances and in the process some money was lost. This problem usually takes place outside of the office building when employees are not being watched via vpn software, of by another co-worker. Employees seem to be more likely to abuse company cards and finances when they are on a road assignment that forces them to be outside of the office. Common cases of abuse are lunch bills and gas purchases for non company vehicles (in the case of the the City of Clearwater Supervisor I interviewed). Move to information search: When the people I interviewed become aware of the a financial security problem they are firs...

9a Testing the Hypothesis Part 2

Testing the Hypothesis Part 2 Reminder/Summery of Product: I noticed the opportunity of financial accountability within businesses that are large and hard to handle. My product is a product/service. I will provide a service that uses a patented software to track and manage the finances of those who have access to the company money. My company will track the movement of money through the different company cards and bank accounts. When any money is moved, the mover will have to provide an account of why and where the money was moved to. Interview 1 WHO: Larry's Franchise owner. Although Larry's is a larger business, the individual franchise on University Avenue is does not have a lot of workers and since it is a smaller franchise, it's finances are more manageable. WHAT: They are easily able to watch where the funds go and they also do not give out company cards. WHY: They do not give out company cards and the money coming into the system is usually card due to the de...
